About Us
Lorrae Jaderberg began her teaching career in the late 1970's as a class teacher in Leeds and then at The International School in Stockholm, Sweden. After having a family, Lorrae continued her teaching career as a class teacher in Barnet, North London. Lorrae's career developed from class teacher to special educational needs co-ordinator, inclusion manager and deputy headteacher. She also holds the qualification, Certificate for teachers of learners with Specific Learning Difficulties, including Dyslexia.
 
Before setting up her consultancy, Lorrae spent five years in senior management with responsibilities for pupils with special educational needs, behaviour management, pupil achievement, gifted and talented pupils and Year 6 secondary transfer, whilst continuing to create and publish educational programmes for schools.

In 2002, she pioneered a homework programme called 'Challenge at Home', which is published and used in British primary schools. In 2005, she co-authored two social skills programmes, 'Social Skills for Primary Pupils 1 and 2', published by LDA and available through their catalogue and website.

Lorrae has worked extensively with children and their families: teaching, advising  and supporting positive development and change. Whilst working with gifted and talented children, Lorrae developed whole school programmes for high achieving pupils. She also supported parent's understanding of their children's abilities and potential, and helped them in their search for appropriate secondary schools.
 
Whilst deputy headteacher, Lorrae liaised with primary pupils, staff and Heads of Year 7 from a range of local secondary schools. She also co-ordinated visits and supported pupils during Year 6-7 transition. She created and supervised work experience programmes in her primary school for Year 12 and 13 pupils from local state selective secondary schools.
 
As assessment co-ordinator, she trained staff, created and developed whole school assessment programmes, pupil tracking systems and data interpretation. These were used in the planning and implementation of whole school achievement and intervention programmes.

For over twenty years, her professional focus has been to develop her educational knowledge and skills, to teach children and make a positive contribution and difference in their lives.
 
Lorrae's educational consultancy was set up to fulfil her vision and belief that every child should be given the opportunity and encouragement to achieve to the best of their ability and potential.

Lorrae lives in London and is married with four children.

Katie Krais has fifteen years experience teaching in primary schools in Barnet. She began her career as a class teacher, working in years 3, 4, 5 and 6. She has also been year group leader, assessment co-ordinator, teacher governor and a member of the school senior management team. Her last four years were spent as special educational needs and inclusion co-ordinator, managing teaching staff and resources and planning programmes for children with special needs.
 
Katie was very involved in working with secondary schools to help with the transition programme from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3 as well as working closely with infant schools to enable year 2 children to transfer smoothly to their junior school.

Katie has a degree in psychology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. She also has the OCR Level 5 Certificate for teachers of learners with Specific Learning Difficulties, including Dyslexia. As well as teaching, Katie is a keen writer and accomplished author.  In 2006 she wrote two collections of plays for use in primary schools, published by Hopscotch and available through their website.
 
In 2007 she set up her own consultancy called "Surviving School Transfer", advising parents on all aspects of secondary transfer. Katie went on to write her book "Teach yourself getting your child into secondary school" which was published in 2009 by Hodder as part of their bestselling 'Teach Yourself' range. This book provides help to parents, arming them with up to date knowledge, facts and rules about the transfer system as well as providing them with realistic expectations about future schools based on thorough assessments.

As assessment co-ordinator and special educational needs co-ordinator, Katie has delivered INSET for her Local Authority and has presented Seminars to parents about key parenting issues. Katie has an excellent understanding of the information parents need to have in order to make an informed judgement about the ability of their children and how to move them forward in order to get the best education available.
 
Katie lives in London and is married with two children.
